“…and the music’s too loud…”

It’s the audio production equivalent of “make the logo bigger.”  In my 20 years of production, I’ve never heard a spot I mixed on the air in which the music competed with the VO, but I’ve heard plenty that made me wonder why we bothered to put music in the spot.
