One of the tougher projects we worked on over the winter was this Valent radio campaign. The casting call was for : female with a neutral accent; tough—not necessarily Kathleen-Turner gruff—but mature Our client sent over mockups of their print campaign to help us get the idea. Literally tough. But what was really fierce about[…]
We knew this spot was going to be special the moment we opened up the mic with our voice talent Dave. There’s something kaleidoscopic about his voice that covers all the feels for this spot about home and place. In four short lines of copy, Dave sounds wise, folksy, aspirational, authoritative and caring. Not an[…]
Though we didn’t handle licensing Sweet’s “Swagger” for Homewood Suites “Book Direct” campaign, we can brag about casting the announcer. Andy sure sounds sweeeeet!
This year, we helped the Carti Cancer Center promote their new treatment center by casting and recording the VO for their 2015/16 TV and Radio spots. The wanted a “unique” voice with a “quiet confidence.” Catherine was the perfect fit.
Well.. casting this wasn’t triple tuff. The client needed the voice of a baseball-cap wearing DIYer. We’ve got quite a few guys who fit that bill but Dave_296 booked the job. And got ‘er done! agency: red deluxe
For a new series of Nebraska Tourism videos aimed at a younger generation, our client was looking for “a young, energetic, and relatively high pitched female.” Wouldn’t that be nice? Well, we found her. AJ is one of our up and coming superstars around here. And she really got a chance to hone her announcer[…]
Love the way this brand video for Ft Campbell Credit Union turned out! Casting, music licensing, sound design, and final mix was all done here at the Dog. And the voice talent is one of our favorite Chicago bluesman, Big Llou Johnson.
Check out these two new :60 spots for Luba Worker’s Comp. we produced last month. These spots feature loads of under-the-big-top sound design and several fun, situational cameos by colorful circus characters. Interestingly enough, one of the toughest elements to create in this production was the sound of the “Wheel of a Thousand Knives.” We ended[…]
Here it is, at long last, a new post featuring some new radio spots! We had a lot of fun producing these spots this summer. Why? Well, first check out “Obsession.” It features six characters. That’s right, six characters in one spot! There’s “Ice Cream Girl,” then there’s “Checker” (as in a Grocery Store Checker),[…]
Here’s another TV spot we helped to cast and score. This spot was running a lot during the Olympics so I saw it a bunch this August. After many viewings I have to say I still really like what our announcer did with that last line, “Only in Arkansas.” Nailed the landing. 16.5!
For “Baptist Memorial Health Care – 100 Years of Care” we needed to cast a big voice… an important voice, a voice…for the ages. Someone that could evoke the Greatest Generation… and more. I think we found the right guy. Lest we forget, the right piece of music was also an integral part of this[…]
Speaking of Martin, here’s a nice piece that we worked on for Red Deluxe and their client, Youth Villages. Along with the excellent visuals, that’s yours truly doing the non-announcer voice over, with some really nice licensed music and subtle sound design.
So, last month, we went on location to help That Guy From Riverfest with a mobile recording. And yes, this involved much more than taping the lav mic to his chest, thank you very much. Live recordings are always exciting and this project was no exception. We were glad to hear that everything turned out[…]
Here’s a re-branding video we recently produced for our friends at Third Degree. And dig Tara’s awesome post about the campaign! Who knew ABNB stood for Apples Bananas Nuts and Berries? Sweet!
Here’s some recent work we produced for Blam and M.B. Piland promoting the Google… oops… I mean, Topeka Chamber of Commerce.
Our pal Tara at Third Degree Creative just posted a nice piece on her blog about a spot we produced last week. As she points out, the casting on this spot was too good to go without comment. Anyway I’ll let her post explain why Angel Tolentino was the perfect actress/artist for this spot. Third[…]
